Everett “Clark” Converse established his career at Columbus based F.A. Davis & Son as an electrician.


Everett “Clark” Converse follows his entrepreneurial spirit and establishes Clark Converse Electric, a service-oriented company, located out of his garage on the city’s South side.


Converse Electric moves to its first office on Morrill Avenue on Columbus’ South side.


Clark’s son Jerry joins the company as an electrician, bringing in the second generation for the first time.


Converse Electric moves to a larger office on Kenton Avenue on the city’s East side.


Jerry Converse is promoted to President.


Converse Electric makes it to the second generation when Jerry purchases the company from Clark.


A tornado rips through the Converse office, damaging the building, equipment and vehicles, and injuring Jerry.


Converse Electric throws its hardhat into the construction world by completing its first new build project – La Quinta Inn.


Converse Electric more than doubles the size of the company when completing the complicated AP Technoglass facility in Bellefontaine, Ohio.


Converse Electric expands again to accommodate its growth by building a brand new shared headquarters in Grove City.


Converse Electric is featured in the book, Columbus Celebrates the Millennium, as the third generation is ushered in when Chris Converse joins the team as an electrician.


Chris Converse is promoted to Construction Supervisor.


Converse Electric grows again by expanding to take over the entire facility in Grove City.


Converse Electric develops its project management department to keep up with the changing demands of the construction industry.


Laura Converse-Haines joins the team, adding more support from the second generation.

Converse Electric establishes its Safety Initiative Program.

Converse Electric celebrated its 50th anniversary by promoting Chris Converse to President and being featured in Columbus CEO magazine.


Converse Electric received the Family Succession award from the Conway Center of Family Business along with winning the BX Safety Achievement award.
